It’s so great to celebrate the accomplishments of our students at the mid-year commencement program each year at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. In this beautiful holiday venue family members and friends of our students gather to share their love, pride, and support. And our graduates eagerly await the new career opportunities that will come their way in the years ahead. It’s a wonderful time of year!
What a beautiful day it was this past Sunday—not only the weather and the fact that it was Mothers’ Day, but celebrating with the 475 graduates participating in FVTC’s spring commencement ceremony. The future looks very bright for these graduates, along with about 2,300 additional grads throughout this past year.
How bright does the future look?
95% graduate employment—the highest in 17 years
$39,000 + average yearly salary for graduates after six months in the workforce
$52,000 + average yearly salary for graduates after five years in the workforce
Our mid-year commencement was full of energy and enthusiasm last weekend at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Always a great venue to celebrate our most recent graduates. About 300 of our 627 graduates from our full array of occupational programs participated in the mid-year ceremony and were cheered on by a couple thousand of their family members and friends. It’s been an honor to serve each one of these students.
This past Sunday reminded me once again how special our spring commencement ceremony is. Not only is the event a culmination of another successful academic year, but during our May 14 commencement ceremony there were more than 500 graduates to congratulate – a record number to walk across the stage in our formal cap and gown ceremony!
