Another academic year has come and gone and it’s time once again to reflect on the success of Fox Valley Technical College graduates. Our annual Graduate Employment Research Report surveys FVTC alumni both six months after graduation and five years from earning their degree. A summary of this year’s report cites a few notable findings:
- A second straight year of 94% graduate employment college-wide based on the class of 2016
- An average five-year salary increase of 45% to nearly $48,000 a year representing the class of 2011
- A record 62 academic programs at 100% graduate employment
The success of our graduates mirrors what we’re seeing across the country as well. A recent blog published by Community College Review shows employment rates for two-year graduates are on an upward trend nationwide. Recent growth for employees with associate degrees bodes well for this economy and needed mid-level skills in areas like advanced manufacturing, business management, and healthcare, among others.
