“Knowledge That Works” for Our Community

Last night, I had the privilege of being the guest speaker for Rebuilding Together Fox Valley’s annual report to the community.  Rebuilding Together Fox Valley is a local non-profit organization that assists low-income seniors and those with disabilities by retrofiting or updating their homes as warm, safe places where they can continue to live independently.  This is a great organization that makes an incredible impact in people’s lives and in our community as a whole.

I was pleased to highlight the many ways that Fox Valley Technical College staff members are working with Rebuilding Together Fox Valley–everything from volunteer board service, volunteer expertise with social media, volunteer assistance with evaluating homeowners’ needs, to our Job Seekers Network serving as a resource for hiring staff, to faculty and students from our Residential Building Construction program assisting with some roof installations.
